Functions and services provided by Institutional Research and Effectiveness include:
- Submission of data to meet federal and state reporting requirements.
- Preparation of standard in-house data reports, particularly on enrollment statistics.
- Provision of data in response to internal and external "ad hoc" requests.
- Publication of an annual Fact Book reporting university data.
- Assistance with maintaining accuracy and integrity of data in the university's student information system.
- Assistance to other departments with survey design and administration.
- Administration of university-wide surveys.
- Compilation and reporting of results from various university survey efforts including the Annual Surveys of Faculty, Staff, and Students and the Student Evaluation of Instruction.
- Assistance to other departments with outcomes development and assessment.
- Coordination of the university's planning and institutional effectiveness processes.
- Oversight of the university's annual institutional effectiveness cycle and writing the Annual Assessment Report Card.
- Coordination of reporting required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
